Low Sodium
Ingredients:
1 can Margaret Holmes canned Tomatoes, Okra, and Corn
1 can Margaret Holmes canned cut Okra
3 breast pieces of chicken
1 can diced tomatoes
1 cup uncooked rice
1 can mushrooms
3 tbs. flour
3 tbs. olive oil
1 tsp. Tones garlic pepper
1 Tsp. Mrs. Dash original
Recipe Instructions:
Stew chicken with garlic pepper instead of salt (save liquid). Cook rice with Mrs. Dash instead of salt, save liquid. Cook tomatoes and mushrooms with their liquid.
Combine chicken broth and vegetable liquid to measure 2 cups. Mix flour and olive oil – stir until smooth. Add to 2 cups liquid and cook on low heat until thickened, dice chicken. Put ½ of rice with ½ of tomato gravy together into a casserole dish. Add chicken in a layer over rice and gravy, arrange drained vegetable over chicken. Add another layer of rice and gravy. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Garnish with boiled eggs and parsley
