Margaret Holmes Collard Greens with Chick Peas & Garlic
Ingredients:
1 sm. can Margaret Holmes collard greens
1 sm. can chick peas
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. minced garlic (adjust amount to your taste)
1 small onion, diced
Recipe Instructions:
Heat skilled, add butter, chick peas, garlic & onion. Cook until browned & crispy. Reduce heat, add collard greens. Cook until heated through, stirring just enough to mix all ingredients together.
I served this with spicy grilled pork chops & southern cornbread.
Total preparation time: 30 minutes.
**For extra heat & color to greens, add Dunbar Roasted Peppers, Texas Pete hot sauce, & Dromedary Pimento pieces. Add a few or a lot, according to your taste.
