Southern Creamy Chicken Vegetable Soup
Ingredients:
2 tbs. butter
½ cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups water
1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast, cut in cubes
2 medium potatoes, diced
2 carrots, sliced
1 (14.5oz) can Margaret Holmes Triple Succotash, drained
1 (14.5 oz) can Margaret Holmes Tomatoes, Okra and Corn, drained
1 (1 ¾ oz) can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
5 drops Texas Pete hot sauce
½ tsp. ground black pepper
1 ¼ cups half and half or evaporated milk
Recipe Instructions:
Melt butter in large saucepan, add onion and garlic. Cook – stirring constantly until tender – about 4 minutes. Add remaining ingredients except half and half.
Bring to a boil – cover and reduce heat and simmer 25 minutes. Stir occasionally, stir in half and half and Heat through
