
Mixed Greens & Sausage Pie
A savory pie filled with seasoned greens and sausage,turning sides into a centerpiece.
Ingredients
- 2 cans Margaret Holmes Seasoned Mixed Greens, drained well (14.5 oz each)
- 1 lb sausage, cooked and crumbled (pork or turkey)
- 1 double pie crust (top and bottom)
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup heavy cream
- salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a bowl, combine cooked sausage, drained Margaret Holmes Mixed Greens, eggs, and cream. Season with salt and pepper.
- Line a pie dish with one crust and fill with the sausage and greens mixture.
- Cover with the second crust; crimp edges to seal and cut small slits on top for venting.
- Bake for 40 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set.
- Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
